BRIDGEWATER, Mass. — BTV Access Corporation is proud to announce its partnership with the Fire For Effect Foundation’s Town River Landing Initiative to bring the 1st Annual Dick “The Unit” Fowler BTV Day: Celebrating Community & Connection to the public on Saturday, October 3, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Town River Landing (The Launch), 80 Spring Street, Bridgewater, Massachusetts.

This free public event will celebrate the legacy of community media in Bridgewater while showcasing the impact of collaboration between BTV and the Fire For Effect Foundation in creating meaningful public programming at Town River Landing.

For decades, BTV has served as an important source of local information, civic transparency, and community storytelling for Bridgewater residents. From town meetings and school sports to arts, culture, and public affairs coverage, BTV has played a central role in documenting and sharing the life of the town. The upcoming event invites residents to step behind the scenes and experience firsthand the technology, talent, and community spirit that power local television.

A major highlight of the day will be the grand debut of BTV’s new Television Truck, a state-of-the-art mobile production unit designed to expand BTV’s live broadcasting capabilities throughout the community. Attendees will have the opportunity to tour the vehicle and learn how the new unit will allow BTV to bring more local coverage directly to the public.

The event will also feature hands-on technology stations, where attendees can explore professional broadcast equipment and learn more about filming, audio mixing, and live production. BTV staff and volunteers will be on hand throughout the day to provide demonstrations and answer questions.
